Paddy McGann 03:32
PADDY MCGANN Came a knock at the door on a morning so fine When we lived out at Hale with the Bollin close by Our Margaret went out and returned all wide-eyed "Hey mother, come see what I've found outside." It was Paddy McGann, That handsome young man, How well I remember young Paddy McGann. And so he was painting our tired old walls So careful was he in his white overalls He worked on the front door as proud as a nail "This door here will soon be the finest in Hale." So said Paddy McGann, That handsome young man, How well I remember young Paddy McGann. At noon he would sit on the steps in the shade And pull out the lunch that his Tessa had made My pretty young daughters would gather them round And listen to stories of his fatherland. They loved Paddy McGann, That handsome young man, How well I remember young Paddy McGann. One day he decided he'd take a wee chance "Well please, Mr Parker, I need an advance - Say just a few pennies to keep my feet dry - I've run out of pennies though don't ask me why." Just like Paddy McGann, That handsome young man, How well I remember young Paddy McGann. Later that day, I mean well after four, His Tessa came knocking at the new painted door, "Say please, Mr Parker, I just need to know - Did you give him some money, and where did he go?" Oh Paddy McGann, Get home if you can, How well I remember young Paddy McGann. Here comes Paddy McGann, That handsome young man, How well I remember young Paddy McGann.

ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS GIVE Remember those places where you used to play? That world you were making was good as the day And then you grew older, and it's harder to live But your world is still somewhere And all you gotta do is give. It's time to look in now, see what's inside Well don't be afraid now of what you might find It's always been in there: are you ready to live? It's not going away now And all you gotta do is give. Don't sit on your own now, don't sit on the wall Don't sit there a-waiting, don't sit on it all Don't sit with your demons, coz it's your time to live Go sit with the children And all you gotta do is give.

PICHILEMU TOWN Early morning, miles of green, Rivers winding down from lazy streams, into the sea Reaching up to cloudless skies, Snowy peaks on the eastern rise look down On peaceful ground, silent as the sun. Gotta see if I can make it to the coast tonight, Thereʼs a little tiny town that I want to find. And here she is, her sandy shores Watching over waves for evermore, Still standing proud, despite the day The earthquake came Pichilemu town. Little shops and houses there, Painted every colour you can dream, itʼs not a dream. People sitting, walking, talking, On the streets most every waking hour In Pichilemu town, they wonder how. Thereʼs a mother with her child on the beach tonight Are they looking for the ghost of another tide? Here she is, her sandy shores Watching over waves for evermore, Still standing proud, despite the day The walls got washed away Pichilemu town. Centuries they come and go Memories like melted snow, theyʼre gone Down to the sea. But everywhere youʼll see the scars, Take a look, theyʼre not so hard to find In Pichilemu town, right here and now. As I wander up and down in the setting sun I wonder will we ever really understand? And here she is, her sandy shores Watching over waves for evermore, Still standing proud, despite the day The earthquake came to stay Pichilemu town.

SANDY HOOK LULLABY How did we get here? How did we fall? How long will it be now Till we hear those angels call? So many children, So many lives Just gone in the morning - No prayers and no goodbyes. How did we get here? How far did we fall? And how to move on now Without all this pain any more? And those that are left here With that sound in their heads, Oh just to give you The voices and smiles of your friends. Now the whole world is crying And the whole world has seen And the world will remember Those lives that might have been. How did we get here? How far did we fall? And how to move on now Without all this pain any more? How did we get here? How did we fall? How long will it be now Till we hear those angels call?
